The old book says that a man's days are 3 score and 10, if by strength 4 score. By this standard I should make it to March 18 2039, which would total up to 27393 days
Hoping for 7670 more days,  I need 7655 days so I can buy Silas Rowan Chapin his first legal beer.

12:23 am Myrtle Beach Night Owl

Sleep has never been easy to find

I have always been a night owl. As a child I read by flash light under the covers, later I would sneak to the T.V. and watch Johnny Carson and Tom Snyder in black and white. Before cable the broadcast day would end about 1:00am central, even I would not watch a test pattern.

What was the young night owl to do?  No internet, no TV...There was one last escape, Marconi the patron Saint of the rural Mississippi night owl gave us the AM radio. the mono ear piece tucked in and the transistor on the window shill trying to find that distant radio station. New Orleans, Memphis, Chicago, St Louis. All night trucker stations, weather on the 8s, King Edward Cigar time.

The AM radio signals skip along the atmosphere bouncing down into this young boy's rooms and filled his head with dreams for far away places. The signal would be strong for a10-20 minutes and then fade away. Did a thunder storm break the radio beam? Where the Russian jamming the signal from Cuba?

Now I have 2 or 3 programs that will bring radio station in my room from all over the world. Try as I might the internet radio does not have that trill of discovery that a small transistor  radio once did.
